About NWN Catchers Training Program: The NWN organization strives to provide the best training possible for dedicated baseball players.  The NWN Catchers Training Program will be coached by Jake Rodriguez, a former catcher and coach at Oregon State and Logan Paustian, a former catcher at Arizona State and University of Oregon. The NWN Catchers Training Program will cover many aspects of catching. This includes: a detailed, high- level approach to receiving: specifically focusing on an efficient glove path to the ball and pocket awareness, Utilizing proper stances that best fit the individual, blocking and throwing to all bases. Situational plays will be covered that include tag plays, fielding bunts, and pop flys behind home plate. Lastly, proper warm up routines and mobility work will be included in every session. 

Fall 2024 and Winter 2025:

  • Date: (November 6th - February 26th)

    • Group #1 - Wednesday 6:00-7:00PM (Full/Waitlist)

    • Group #2 - Wednesday 7:00-8:00PM (Full/Waitlist)

    • Group #3 - Wednesday 8:00-9:00PM (Full/Waitlist)

      • No Class November 27th and December 25th

    • Drafted by the Houston Astros in 2013

    • Former catcher at Arizona State and University of Oregon
